West Seattle Art Hop & Shop 2023

I’m excited to participate in the West Seattle Art Hop & Shop again this year on May 6, 2023 from 10am - 5pm. I will be located at Celebration Studio with @SteffanieLorig and at least one other artist. I’ll publish the address closer to the event along with an interactive map. For event link, updates and artist info, follow the West Seattle Art Hop page on Facebook, @wsarthop on Instagram, or check-out the official link on the West Seattle Artwalk site.

Due to space limitations at this venue, I will be displaying smaller and medium sized works and my hand-cranked bicycle jewelry and silver wire wearables. Larger works will still be available by appointment. There will be at least 3 artists at this location so come by and say Hi and find a special something to take home!

Altered Book Workshop

Myself and fellow artist Steffanie Lorig are co-teaching an Altered Book Workshop March 4, 2017. More info below...

  • Saturday, March 4, 2017

  • 9:00am  12:30pm

  • School of Visual Concepts

This introductory class will teach found poetry and altered book techniques that will allow you to bring new life to old books, turning cast-off pages into a reliquary of personally meaningful content.

Co-facilitated with artist, Steffanie Lorig, we will use several techniques that help turn trash into treasure. By the end of the workshop, you will understand how to:

  • Choose and prep books to alter

  • Find poetry from within

  • Gain control over your inner critic

  • Give yourself permission to play, explore, and discover

  • Use collage, paint, wire, and found objects to create art!

Exciting news! I just got selected for the Special Merit Category in the Light Space & Time international all-woman online exhibit! They got over 1100 entries so I feel quite honored. The exhibit is online for the month of March, after that it will be viewable in the online archives.

This show is over but lives on in the archives. You can check it out at the 2015 Light Space & Time Women's exhibit link in the archives section.
